Outreach
Concerning outreach activities, Prof. Wallny has organized several visits for students to CERN (both from ETH and other institutions) and has given talks to the general public about particle physics. Most notably, Prof. Wallny took the lead in organizing an outreach event for local and national media at ETH for the CERN announcement of the discovery of a new particle at CERN on July 4th, 2012. He has also appeared in interviews of local and national media communicating new results of particle physics to the general public.
